The Doberman Rescue Pack’s Pawspice Program is a specialized hospice foster initiative created for senior dogs with significant medical needs who are unlikely to be adopted due to the level of care and expense required. Through this program, carefully selected foster homes provide long-term, compassionate care while the rescue covers medical treatment, supplies, and ongoing support. Pawspice focuses on giving these dogs the dignity they deserve in their final chapter, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and surrounded by love for whatever time they have left. As the breed increasingly faces shorter lifespans due to complex health issues, this program reflects a deep commitment to honoring those who have made it to their senior years by providing them with the highest quality of life possible.

Pawspice Spotlight Rosie At 14 years old, Rosie is the definition of resilience and purpose. Now part of our Pawspice Program, Rosie came to us as a senior with a challenging medical history, but she had other plans. At 12, she bravely fought and beat mast cell cancer, showing a strength that continues to inspire everyone around her. Today, Rosie isn’t just living her golden years, she’s giving back. As a certified therapy dog, she spends her time visiting a senior living facility, bringing comfort, smiles, and companionship to the elderly. In true Doberman fashion, her loyalty and gentle spirit shine through in every interaction. Rosie is proof that hospice care doesn’t mean the end of purpose, it can be a new beginning filled with love, connection, and impact.
